WHY TRIBUNJ REGION AS A CHARTER REGION?
There are many reasons, but we will mention just a few. Tribunj is a place located just to the touristic center of Vodice. It is at the seafront and it is 15km in the north-west direction away from Šibenik, that is also center of Šibenik-Knin County. The traffic connections are very good. The climate is like in the whole region extremely Mediterian with mild winters and hot summers, the temperature usually ranges among 30 °C.
Tribunj is a peaceful touristic place that our guests have recognized as a base for a holiday. If you want to have some nightlife, in Vodice you will definetly not be bored.
How Tribunj is located in the heart of the Adriatic coast, it is equally far from the tourist places that are located in the South (island of Hvar, Brać, Vis, šolta, korčula, Trogir and Split), as well as those located in the North (the island of Pasman, Ugljan, Long island, Mali Losinj, Pag, city of Biogard na moru, Zadar….).
There are two National parks in the region; National park Kornati and National park Krka as well as many beautiful islands and coves with beaches which you can explore with our Rental boats. Due to such a large number of islands and coves, in case of a wind like Bura or Jugo „trapping“ you, you always have the opportunity to sneak into a safe cove with the boat and enjoy, so you will not even feel the wind, meaning a „bad“ weather cannot spoil your day. For example; from the everyday wind Maestral you can be protected in the cove that is located on the south side of the island of Tijat or you can go to the National park Krka when there is blowing Bura or Jugo. The island of Kaprije is a jewel with beautiful beaches, anchorages and restaurants which is an oasis for boaters.
With a charter motor boat you can go to the place Skradin through the Šibenski channel, through the Prokljansko lake, along the river of Krk. There you can leave your rented boat safely bounden and then board on a large tourist boat with which you have only 10 minutes drive to the National park of Krka.
The region is very well covered with gas stations, the closest one is in Vodice. Šibenik has two gas stations. To the North stretches the island of Murter, which has one gas station in the place Jezera and one in the place of Murter. Little bit to the north you can find also a gas station which is located in Biograd na moru. A map with gas station can be found on our website.
Šibenik is the capital of Šibensko-kninske County. It is the oldest city at the Croatian coast, which was mentioned for the first time in the year 1066. in a letter to King Petar Krešimir IV, and because of that it is also called Krešimir’s city.
It the 13th century it has been given the status of a city. That was the reason to build the Cathedral sv. Jakov (St. James), which is nowadays an important city symbol. In the year 2000. the Cathedral has become a place in the UNESCO cultural heritage list.
Šibenik has also another name – the city of children, because it is almost 50 years in a row hosting the only children’s manifestation in Croatia with international character – the International Children’s Festival – for which the city is also known in the world.
